Select one real event with local partners. Gather evidence, lessons and anonymised experiences from children, families, practitioners and communities.
The CHILD Initiative · Founding pilot
A focused demonstration of how CHILD can connect evidence, professional knowledge, lived experience and creative learning—then turn what humanity learns into wiser action for the next generation.
Rather than trying to build every part of CHILD at once, the founding pilot will follow one carefully chosen real event from lived experience to connected intelligence, from intelligence to story, and from story to practical learning.
The event could relate to an earthquake in Nepal, the tsunami in Banda Aceh, a cyclone or flood in Sri Lanka, or another situation proposed by a founding partner. Selection will depend on local relationships, ethical access and where the work can add genuine value.
Select one real event with local partners. Gather evidence, lessons and anonymised experiences from children, families, practitioners and communities.
Build a focused Living Wisdom Review, test claims across evidence and experience, and identify what children and adults most need to understand.
Translate the learning into one culturally grounded Earthtronauts story and practical activities, reviewed for accuracy, dignity and child sensitivity.
Pilot the story and activities with children, caregivers and educators. Listen closely to what engages, confuses, helps or needs to change.
Publish an accessible learning brief, improve the prototype and show how one community’s lessons can help the next.
A concise, traceable synthesis of evidence, experience, context and lessons around the selected event.
One child-sensitive story treatment or short animated proof of concept grounded in real events and anonymised lives.
Practical activities for children, families and educators that connect understanding with preparedness, care and agency.
A safe, small-scale way for participants to share observations, questions, lessons and feedback.
What worked, what did not, what changed and what should be carried into the next place or generation.
An invitation to founding partners
We are looking for one or more mission-aligned partners able to contribute catalytic funding, local access, evidence, safeguarding expertise, research capacity, creative production or pilot settings.
Scope, timeline, governance and budget will be agreed with founding partners before implementation. No tax-deductibility claim is made at this stage.
